Total in Myanmar
Total signed the Yadana production sharing contract with Myanmar’s MOGE in July 1992 and operates the field with a 31.2% interest. Commercial production began in 2000, with an expected field life of 30 years.
The gas is supplied to Thai power plants and is also sold in Myanmar’s domestic market.
The gas is transported onshore via a 346-kilometer subsea pipeline. A 63-kilometer onshore pipeline then carries it to the Thai border.
